The outer flaps are cut from the finest quality water buffalo hides tanned in England exclusively for L&R. Description

• Seat Style and Size: 21 inches (measured from center of the front rivet to back of cantle).  It has a DEEP seat which EVERYONE wants.

• Identification:  Left and rights sides have a manufactures plate.  The plate says,  "Lovatt & Ricketts Walsall England".  On the left side of the saddle under-billet flap, there the manufactures embossed identification and serial number stamped into the leather.  It has "2283" and "02/05", and "21M".  The two pommel rivets that have the "LR" with a crown insignia. 

• Color and Material: The saddle is black in color.  This saddle is handcrafted from the SUPER GRIPPY buffalo leather which provides a secure (grab your pants) feel and superior durability.  The seat is made from nubuck leather which offers the most grip and security one could ask for.

• Tree size- Medium: This is a Medium tree because it says 21M. I measure 11" between tree bar rivets which I normally consider on the wide side; however, L&R bars are positioned a little lower than most cutbacks which is why it REALLY is a medium tree. 

• Stirrup bars: Saddle has 5 position adjustable stirrup bars for the perfect leg and seat position.      

• Billets: There are 4 billets on each side and are made from a very heavy duty harness leather.

• Accessories: Saddle DOES NOT come with accessories.

• Value:  This saddle sold new for $2500.00.

Condition of the Used Saddle

• Condition of the Leather:  Leather is in buttery soft, flexible yet sticky because of the treated buffalo leather. 

• Any blemishes on the saddle:  There are stirrup leather impressions and a little superficial rubbing from leg/riding.  Does have a couple holes where a nameplate used to be. 

• Tree:  The tree is solid and sound as it should be because it's in excellent condition.

• Billets: All eight (8) billets are fully functional and are in EXCELLENT condition.
